The following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) have been compiled to enable both new and existing customers to quickly find the information they need.

These FAQS provide only an outline of the coverage available under this insurance program. Certain policy exclusions and limitations may apply in any given fact situation and limit or exclude the amount payable under this insurance coverage. Applying for Insurance

• Are there any eligibility requirements to effect insurance coverage?

Coverage

• What is the difference between the Silver Wings Plan and the Gold Wings Plan?

• What coverage/limits of liability insurance are mandatory by Transport Canada?
• Can I take out coverage for less than a year?

Coverage Extensions

• Can I add an occasional pilot or obtain coverage for an additional family member under the Silver Wings Plan or an additional pilot under the Gold Wings Plan?
• Can the corporation in which my aircraft is registered as owner be covered for liabilty under the Marsh Canada Aviation Insurance Program - Silver Wings Plan?
• If I take instruction on my own aircraft is my flying instructor covered for his/her legal liability?
• Can I purchase liability coverage for a hangar which I privately own or space in a hangar or outside tie-down area which I rent or lease from someone else?

Coverage Restrictions

• Does each aircraft co-owner require a separate policy?
• Are there any territorial restrictions as to where I can fly?
• Am I covered for formation flying, flying in an exhibition, air display, or air show?
• Am I covered for aerobatics?
• Can an aircraft which is registered in another country, be covered under the Marsh Canada Aviation Insurance Program (e.g. a U.S. “N” registered aircraft)?
• Can a pilot who is not the holder of a Canadian pilot licence or pilot permit be covered under the Marsh Canada Aviation Insurance Program
• With respect to legal liability insurance can I insure less than the number of passenger seats for which the aircraft is certified?
